Transducers

We supply imported transducers along with custom-designed fixture suitable for all types of circuit breakers/switchgear manufactured by ABB, CG, L&T, Schneider, Siemens, Toshiba, and all others. Our test fixture can be customised for mounting on circuit breakers of any design.

The transducer is used for measuring the contact travel and all other breaker parameters that are derived from travel measurements, such as contact speed or velocity, contact gap, snatch gap, wipe gap, bounces, bounce duration, rebound, rebound duration, over travel, and over travel duration. In the case of linear travel, the travel is measured in millimetres. However, in the case of rotary or angular travel, the travel is measured in degrees.

For linear travel measurements, either a resistive or a more accurate laser transducer is used. While, for rotary travel measurements, either a resistive transducer or an encoder is used.
