    Job Description

    This role involves utilising CAD software to create and optimise designs for aluminium casting processes, ensuring our products’ efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilise CAD software to prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings and blueprints for aluminium castings based on specifications and calculations
    • Design moulds and cores for aluminium casting, considering factors such as shrinkage, casting orientation, and mould strength.
    • Evaluate and optimise designs for feasibility, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
    • Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and efficient, meeting quality standards.
    • Use simulation software to predict casting defects and make necessary adjustments to designs.
    • Collaborate with the R&D team to introduce new design concepts and improve existing ones.
    • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure innovative design solutions.
    Qualifications
    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Experience with CAD software and 2D/3D modelling.
    • Knowledge of aluminium casting processes and design principles.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to creating high-quality, efficient designs.
    • Familiarity with casting simulation software will be a plus.
    • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
